Complete guide to using AttendEase

Getting Started

Welcome to AttendEase! This guide will help you navigate the portal and make the most of its features.

  1. Log in using your company email and password
  2. Complete your profile information in Settings
  3. Familiarize yourself with the dashboard layout
  4. Set your preferences (theme, notifications)

Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard is your central hub for all activities:

  • Attendance Banner: Shows today's status and allows marking attendance
  • Stats Cards: Display monthly present, leave, and absent counts
  • Calendar View: Visual representation of your attendance history
  • Quick Actions: Mark attendance, logout, view announcements
  • Birthday Notifications: See today's birthday celebrations

Marking Attendance

Step-by-step guide to marking attendance:

  1. Ensure you're within office premises (location verification required)
  2. Navigate to your dashboard between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  3. Click "Mark Attendance" button
  4. Allow location access when prompted
  5. Wait for confirmation message
  6. Your attendance is now recorded with timestamp

Note: Interns have until 3:00 PM to mark attendance.

Managing Leave Requests

How to apply for and manage leaves:

  1. Go to "Leave Requests" from the sidebar
  2. Click "Apply Leave" button
  3. Select start and end dates
  4. Choose leave type (Annual, Sick, Casual)
  5. Provide a reason for leave
  6. Submit for approval
  7. Track status in the leave requests table

You can view your leave balance, pending requests, and history all in one place.

Viewing Reports

Access your attendance and performance data:

  • Attendance History: View detailed records with filters
  • Monthly Stats: See present, absent, and leave counts
  • Calendar View: Visual timeline of your attendance
  • Export Options: Download reports for your records

Announcements

Stay updated with company announcements:

  • Click the bell icon in the sidebar to view announcements
  • Unread count badge shows new announcements
  • Announcements are categorized by priority (High, Normal, Low)
  • Click on any announcement to view full details
  • Use search and filters to find specific announcements

Navigation Tips

  • Sidebar: Main navigation menu (collapsible on mobile)
  • Profile Menu: Access settings, announcements, and logout
  • Theme Toggle: Switch between light and dark modes
  • Breadcrumbs: Track your location within the portal
  • Quick Actions: Frequently used features on dashboard

Best Practices

  • Mark attendance as soon as you arrive at the office
  • Apply for leave well in advance
  • Keep your profile information up to date
  • Check announcements regularly
  • Logout when leaving for the day to record working hours
  • Use strong passwords and never share credentials
  • Report any issues to HR immediately
